❒ The Korean Council for University Education (KCUE) Higher Education Support Center for Students with Disabilities, chaired by Park Sang-Kyu, President of Chung-Ang University, held the “2nd On-Site Consulting Session for the 2024 University Disability Support Center Operation Support Project” on Wednesday, October 30, at Fraser Place Central in Jung-gu, Seoul. Following the first on-site consulting session held on July 5, which was attended by 43 universities, the second session was conducted in parallel with individualized on-campus consulting. This session was attended by representatives from 29 universities, including those selected for the second semester educational activity support, along with over 40 participants from the Ministry of Education’s Lifelong and Vocational Education Planning Division and KCUE’s Higher Education Support Center for Students with Disabilities.

❒ During the second consulting session, active discussions took place on region- and type-specific support plans for educational activities and assistive devices. Additionally, best practices for supporting students with disabilities, including career and employment examples, as well as case studies on supporting students with ADHD and other disabilities, were shared. This was followed by an experiential art performance as part of a disability awareness education program, conducted by Art We Can, the Korean Association for Developmental Disabilities Culture and Arts.

❒ Moving forward, the Higher Education Support Center for Students with Disabilities plans to facilitate smoother communication, share best practices, and expand platforms for disseminating exemplary cases within the framework of higher education support for students with disabilities.
